10 Things I've Learned After 10 Years of Marriage

Last year I shared 9 things I've learned after 9 years of marriage.

This year I'm adding one more...

10) Being known is one of the greatest gifts of all time...never stop getting to know your spouse.

Yesterday we celebrated ten years together. Ten years ago I would have thought that by this stage of life we would know everything about each other. But I've learned that one of the most exciting things amount marriage is continuing to discover things about each other.

For instance, Sam has this thing for ginger flavored snacks (I'm actually not a big fan of the stuff.) He also likes ginger beer which is like ginger ale only spicier. He has tried making a homemade recipe and it didn't turn out. So now whenever I am out and see a new brand of ginger beer I pick some up for him to try. He hasn't found one that is just right...so the search continues.

Sometimes I like to pretend that I am on one of those newlywed game shows.

The host asks, "What is your husband's favorite drink?"

I smile knowing...I've got this. :-)

Yet I continue to discover more things about Sam because you never know what the next question could be.

What is something that you have learned from marriage or learned that your spouse likes or doesn't like?

  1. Too cute. I love ginger. I love dried ginger as a little snack. Hey, since we are known for beer here, how about this - http://www.rockymountainsoda.com/?p=158 ? It is a little expensive, but if he likes it, maybe it can be a special treat a few times a year. :)

Congrats on ten years of marriage! :D
